HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING
Big business means big laughs in this delightfully clever lampoon of life on the corporate ladder. A tune-filled comic gem that took Broadway by storm winning both the Tony Award for Best Musical and a Pulitzer Prize, How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying boasts an exhilarating score by Frank Loesser including "I Believe in You," "Brotherhood of Man," and "The Company Way."
A satire of big business and all it holds sacred, How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying follows the rise of J. Pierrepont Finch, who uses a little handbook called "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying" to climb the corporate ladder from lowly window washer to high-powered executive, tackling such familiar but potent dangers as the aggressively compliant "company man," the office party, backstabbing co-workers, caffeine addiction and, of course, true love.
Shows begin Thursday, May 21st and run through Sunday, May 24th. There are shows every evening at 7pm with additional matinee performances on Saturday and Sunday at 2pm.
Tickets can be purchased at the door and are $10 for adults and $5 for students. This show is rated PG-13.
Heritage Theater Scores Big at NCTC Competition
This past November, Heritage High School was honored to be able to perform a one-act production to be judged at the annual North Carolina Theater Conference competition held in Cameron, North Carolina. We brought our fall in-class production of Property Rites. The play challenged the minds of its audiences, with a haunting plot, synchronized ensemble work, and scenes of intense violence to create a lingering question: alive or not? What does it truly mean to be alive? Heritage was awarded with three awards: Excellence in Ensemble Work, Outstanding Overall Production Design, and Excellence in Stage Management. Congratulations to our wonderful Husky actors and our excellent production team!
